2011 Red Tail Golf Club Clinic Series

Red Tail is proud to announce that is has brought the Get Golf Ready Program sponsored by the PGA of America to its teaching clinics this season. The Get Golf Ready Program is designed to bring new golfers to the game and former golfers back into the game.

The Program consists of 5 one hour lessons. Each lesson will include time on the range or putting green, as well as time on the course to give students as much on course time as possible. This is important because the goal of the program is for students to have to confidence to go and play a round of golf when the lessons are over. We believe the more time the student has on the course to higher their confidence will be. Students will not only learn the basics of the golf swing, but will learn the entire process of playing a round of golf, from making a tee time to learning the etiquette and rules of the game.

Clinics will be limited to the first eight (8) students that sign up. Golf balls and golf clubs will be provided for students that cannot bring their own. The cost of the clinics is $99 per student. If you wish to sign up please visit www.getgolfready.com and punch in 01434 (Devens zip code) in the upper right hand corner. Click on Red Tail Golf Club and follow the prompts to sign up. If you have any questions please call Rob Jobin at Red Tail Golf Club at 978.772.3273 or email at rjobinrtgc@yahoo.com.

Golf Tips: by Rob Jobin

Improve your golf game for the 2011 season.

First I would like to say that I hope everyone has had a good winter and that no one has succumbed to the freezing temperatures. Now that we have rounded the corner and are heading into the beginning of spring, most of us are thinking about our golf games and what we can do to improve them for the 2010 season. Here are some tips that I believe will get you off on the right track for this golf season.

It is very important to come into every season with a list of goals that you would like to accomplish. Whether it be breaking 80, 90, or even 100 for the first time, it is important for constantly trying to improve your game if you have a goal to work towards. My suggestion is to write down five (5) goals that you would like to accomplish in the 2010 season and post them somewhere you will see them every day so you are always reminded of what you want to achieve. The next step is to make a plan to try and make your goals a reality. It can be as easy as spending three hours a week on the putting green because you would like to three putt less often, or hitting 50 pitch shots every trip to the range because that is a shot that you struggle with. No matter what goals you have, it is important that you are constantly working to improve your game throughout the year....
